The curse of Tomorrow

A man looks forward to… anything, everything, nothing.

All our life, we have been sold that tomorrow will be better. If you act today, tomorrow you will get rewarded for it.

The tomorrow, the tonight, the next hour.

It is all a game of psychological time. A game of endurance. A game of pain. A game of imagination of a “feeling better”.

Humans think they experience joy, so they manufacture an image of enjoyment in the future, and they have been taught that if you give today, you will get a reward tomorrow.

Let me tell you a secret;

You have never experienced joy.

Not once, in your life. Nobody has ever done so.

When one says they have experienced joy, they have cultivated the moment of joy, and manufactured pleasure.

When a person is in a state of joy, one is away from his thoughts. Beyond mechanical thinking. One has lost oneself to the being, aware.

A human experiences joy, and it is this moment away from pain, one naturally feels peaceful and calm, completely free from tomorrow.

As the human lives most of his life in misery, he experiences moments of joy.

The mind of the human tricks the human to believe that this joy will give permanence of happiness, and the human, like a fish hungry for the hook, bites. As time goes on, the natural joy ends, and the human mind wants to cultivate the moment again, making the human an addict to the moment of piece by getting away from misery, producing movements of thoughts and an image of revisiting the moment away from misery. The mind then makes the image and a feeling of presence as an old experience, and the result is a mind that makes a manufactured story to gain happiness as pleasure.

As the mind makes this the daily existence of the human, the human reacts and are running around in every direction, taking substances, making ideas of oneself as happy, free, and peaceful in the future.

What the human can not see, is that the mind has enslaved the human and it has hidden the chains so that the human is always coming back for more.

As the whole world lives from one’s own center of self, the masses have made this the norm.

To be normal, to live a normal life is the conditioned human that stresses through life for future rewards.

He does not recognize that this process, this direction, this lifeline is a path to, not self-destruction, but self-preservation.

If a human could destroy the conditioned self, he would be free. But it is not so. The mind tricks the human into an endless continuation of the search for happiness, tomorrow, making him believe that if he makes it to the top of the mountain, he will reach the bliss he has deeply craved for all his life. The mind, and all the minds of the masses are slaves to their own self, their own thoughts, their own experiences.

Naturally, the question arises; How do I break this wheel?

It is not about breaking it. One can not simply step away from it like walking out of a car. If one tries to break it, one will try to break it through ones own mind, and one is still playing the game where the mind is the king.

This is why humans always fall for 10 steps to this and that, or walking the self-help path, feeling that they are doing an effort and becoming great.

The truth is, they are just swallowing more orange pills, and are still in the loop of tomorrow.

Another question arises; Should I then live in the moment, so I don’t think of tomorrow?

You can try to be present, and not stressed, and aware, and meditate, and so on.

But let me ask you this,

do you want to manage your stress and awareness, or do you want to break free from the stress and pain of tomorrow?

If this is what you want, then please continue with the practices. If not, read on.

We have to examine the root of the process of tomorrow. Only through understanding, one will divorce from the feeling of tomorrow.

One can not banish tomorrow mechanically.

Why does one think about the future, all the time?

Because, one is in pain, and the image of the future is bright, so one is hungry for the abstract tomorrow.

Why is one living in constant pain?

Because one has been conditioned, and exposed to beliefs, rituals, prescriptions to manufacture happiness, and the idea that one is not good enough, that one must fit in, that one must achieve, possess, progress, become, and get rewarded tomorrow.

Because of this, one is searching for a way out from the very provider to the way in.

How can one be free from all the above?

The source of it all is one’s own mind. And it is the mind that has stored and recorded all the sensations, stored them as memory, and is now replaying it to the human.

It has made the self an image. The image one is protecting all the time, searching for security and safety.

The source is one’s own brain, and mind.

The desire of investigating the mind, and conquer the mind is the ultimate path of paths. Without the desire to find out, to understand it, one will forever live the loop of self, and the tomorrow never comes until one is dead.

Only when a human realizes that the self is the mother to all his problems, making the continues tomorrow for a reward, one will simply leave the idea of tomorrow,

one will divorce tomorrow,

one will be in no need of tomorrow,

one will play through life, enjoy life, and dance in the rain like a child.

One will have understood, that the source of all one’s misery was right in front of him, to the life of no need.

And when one needs nothing, one has power over everything.
