Becoming as young, not as old?

Have you ever heard, or even thought to yourself that you want to become something, and then you want the experiences from what you have become while you are still young?

I think this is pretty common in the world of the youth. To be rich and famous while you still have time to experience the glory it gives from society.

Isn't that so?

I want to question that.

Why does a young person want to become, so that he, or she, can experience while they are young?

If I told a young person that he can experience the glory, but it might take time to arrive at their dreams, the glory might come when they are 80 years old. And then one can go buy a Lamborghini and drive around to dominate and feel good about it.

I suspect that the young person won’t be interested in that as much as getting wealth and fame at a young age.

Why is that so?

The young human is applying that he wants wealth and fame while he is young, so he can have more time to experience it, and he also implies that when he is 80 years old, he won’t be interested in driving expensive sportscars and going to social gathering and all that business.

What is he really implying?

He is implying that when he is older, wiser, calmer, and has less time to live, his so-called values and interests change, and he won’t have the need for all that pleasure and stimulus. When he is young, he is hungry for pleasure and stimulus, so one better work for it now so that one can feed the future self with it.

Can you see what’s going on?

A young person is at the moment, via thought process, inventing an ideological future of dominance and glory, and is now trying to become something else, to feed his future self, while his future self still has the need and interest of dominating and pleasure and stimulus. This young person lives in a constant time-biding state of pain and sorrow, never being aware that he is the creator of an illusion that lives in bouncing between the past to the future, creating hope of getting the stimulus he thinks he needs in the future while he is still young.

This is the recipe for destruction.

If an old human loses the need for stimulus and pleasure, why does the young human want this temporary experience, which in the present as this youngster doesn’t have, living in hope, stress, pain, sorrow, anxiety, sadness, and all the time fighting and battling for something that will vanish while one gets old and don’t longer value?

Even if an old person did value it, he will still not be able to live all of it just because of his physical state, and even more, he will be gone after some time and then none of it makes any value because it is not sustainable, there is no arrival, no medal at the end of glory.

The only thing the young human has created is a constant battle all the time except for some glimpses of the so-called happiness here and there, which is temporary freedom from the turmoils as an anti-happiness.

A natural question arrives; But if I am not striving for becoming something in the future, should I only lay on the couch and give up life?

Firstly, there is no should, that is something society has invented.

Second, nobody is saying that becoming something, or laying on the couch for that matter is bad, not good or evil.

I am simply laying out what is, by investigating and enquiring about what is happening as a young human pursuing a dream that is manufactured and not devoted to what pulls him toward something he can not help to do.

You see, most youths are trying to become something that is popular in the world. They try to be good in a particular field that the society sees as entertaining and pleasurable, which means that if one pursues what the society values instead of pursuing what one genuinely longs for, one is hungry for the validation and praise from the masses, and one wants to feel dominant and powerful, to feed the self while they still care about it as a young human.

When reading this text, one might constantly wait for the solution.

The truth is that there is nothing to solve, no hack, plans, or scripts will fix anything.

If one has read this and has gained some awareness, insight, and resonates with it, then one did, and if not, then so be it.

The reader can do with it,

what he likes.
